Seller Agreement
This Seller Agreement applies to everyone who lists parts on TechEscrow. It supplements the Terms of Use. By creating a listing you accept it.
1. Becoming a Seller
- You must complete verification (KYC): PAN, a bank account in your own name, and your address. Payouts are made only to that account.
- You must provide accurate information. If it changes, update it promptly.
- A change of payout bank account triggers a security hold of 72 hours before payouts to the new account begin.
2. Listing rules
- Sell only items you own or are authorised to sell, that are genuine and allowed (see Prohibited Items).
- Describe the condition honestly, including defects, repairs, mining or heavy-use history if known, and warranty status. Include the serial number or purchase invoice if you have one.
- Use your own photos of the actual item, in good light, showing all sides and any wear.
- Set a fair asking price. You decide the minimum you will accept, but you must honour an offer you accept.
- Keep listings current. Mark or remove a part that is no longer available.
3. Negotiation and acceptance
Communicate only through TechEscrow chat. Do not share contact details, ask for payment outside the Platform or suggest meeting to complete the deal. Accepting an offer reserves the part for that Buyer at the agreed price, and you must not sell it elsewhere.
4. Fulfilment
- When a Buyer pays, you will be notified and a courier pickup is booked.
- Pack the part securely (see our packing guide) and hand it to the courier at the scheduled time.
- Send exactly what was listed and agreed. Do not substitute or remove items.
- Take photos or a short video of the part and its packing before you hand it over. They help if a claim is made.
- Failing to hand over the parcel in time may lead to cancellation, a full refund to the Buyer, and a penalty on your account.
5. Fees
A commission of 5% of the part price, plus GST at 18% on the commission, is deducted from each completed sale. No listing fee is charged. Courier charges for the outward shipment are paid by the Buyer. Where tax must be deducted at source, the amount is shown in your payout breakdown.
6. Payouts
- Your payout is released after the Buyer confirms the part works, or when the 48-hour test window ends with no claim.
- If a claim is made, the payout is held until the dispute is decided.
- The payout is transferred to your verified bank account. Transfer time depends on the banking system and our payment partner, and is usually within a few working days.
- Funds are held by our payment partner, not by you, until released. We may withhold or reverse payouts for fraud, a refund owed to a Buyer, or other amounts you owe the Platform.
7. Returns and disputes
If a Buyer's claim is upheld under the Refund & Dispute Policy, the Buyer is refunded, the part comes back to you, and the order payout is not made. You pay the return shipping. Repeated upheld claims against you may lead to listing limits or removal.
8. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings and for any tax due on your income.
- You must follow applicable law, including consumer protection and any licence or registration that applies to you.
- You must not manipulate prices, create fake offers, or use multiple accounts.
9. Action we may take
We may remove a listing, limit features, hold payouts, suspend or close an account where this Agreement or the Terms are breached, a listing appears fraudulent or unsafe, or law requires.
